The Icelandic horses are my great passion and Iceland has always been very important in my life. For 4 years of my childhood, my family and I lived in Reykjavík, Iceland, and ever since then I have wanted to come back and have the island as my home again. Dreams can come true, and now I am enrolled at Iceland's horse university Háskólinn á Hólum í Hjartadal. It is a 3-year bachelor's degree that gives students qualifications in horse management, feeding, anatomy, riding, teaching, shoeing etc. A graduated Hólar student has a BS in reiðmennska and reiðkennsla, i.e. a BS in riding and riding lessons, and can call himself a FT riding instructor.

The path to my admission to the school has required several years of work at various stud farms, as well as many years of experience riding Icelandic horses.

The work mainly consisted of fitting and riding riding and show horses, based on Icelandic methods, where trust and respect between horse and rider is essential.

I am a keen event rider within sports, horse racing and all-round riding and have, among other things, achieved the following results in 2017:

3. place in T1 and 2nd place in 150 m breaststroke at Hestaþing Kóps 2017
4. place in T3 and 3rd place in B-flokkur at Félagsmót Hornfirðings 2017

- Has previously participated at the DM with the horses Keimur frá Grafarkoti and Heimskringla from Dallandi and is now training my 6-year-old mare Harka frá Holtsenda 2, who achieved a 1st class rating this summer, to become a Hólar horse.

I am a Danish girl who lived in Reykjavík in Íslandi for four years as a child, and is now working with horses in Iceland for two years. I started at Hólum now in autumn. First I won at Horni with Ómari Inga Ómarssyni, and then at Hlíðarbergshestum with Friðriki Hrafni Reynissyni and Snæbjörgu Guðmundsdóttur. I have also won at Teland in Denmark, with Steffi and Rune Svendsen, and have great experience with taming and training different hrossums. I'm interested in keppa and have taken part in several events in Íslandia and several times in the Danish master's tournament. I think it's important for both horses and horses to note a good saddle, and that's why I buy the quality saddle Hrafni from Tölthestum, which gives a good seat and a good support.
