We call this blanket a Sandwich, it is a cooler blanket that transports sweat and moisture away from the horse's body while retaining body heat, so the horse dries without getting cold.
What is a cooler blanket used for?
After training: Moves hot sweat away from the coat after a hard ride or workout.
After washing: Helps the horse dry quickly after being washed.
During transport: Protects against drafts and cold in the trailer or truck.
Cooling down: Allows the horse's body temperature to drop slowly and naturally to calm down.
